Pledge to Protect
Sign ON, Gather Signatures

Successful rallies have an “ask,” a “what to do next,” a “next step.” For the NO KINGS II rally, IH asked rally-goers to sign a petition, on paper or on-line, demanding that our two U.S. Senators, our two U.S. Representatives, and Governor Gianforte protect everyone’s constitutional rights and key principals of democracy. And that “to-do” included a big emphasis on the need for Indivisibles to help collect more signatures.
So far, we have gathered over 4,000 signatures. Our goal is 10,000.
The Petition to Protect will be presented to these elected officials on November 12 when Congress is in recess. This will be at a press event at which each elected official will have the opportunity to sign an extra-large version of the petition affirming they will protect these sacred rights and freedoms.
IH needs your help gathering signatures. Here are ways to get the petition to your friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors across Montana:
- Click here to access the Petition, or scan the QR code below. You can distribute it to your contacts via text, email, and social media, asking them to sign. And, you can ask that they also distribute it widely via text, email, and social media.
- Use traditional means to gather signatures on paper. Contact us by email, and IH will quickly provide you with a kit that has everything you need to collect signatures and get them to IH in time for the press event with our elected officials.
We can’t do this without you! Please help.

Statewide Cohesion Growing
MT Chapters Commit to gathering signatures
on the Pledge to Protect
IH members who attended a statewide meeting in early October got better acquainted last week on what will become a monthly Zoom call to keep one another abreast of happenings in their chapters and communities.
Chapter representatives shared highlights of their No Kings II rallies, which ranged in size from 20 in Forsyth to 60 in Polebridge (not Indivisible chapters … yet) to 10,000 in Bozeman as well as Missoula. All rallies were reported as peaceful, due in large part to excellent planning and communication by organizers with law enforcement personnel in their communities.
The remainder of the meeting was spent discussing logistics of magnifying the impact of Indivisible Helena’s Petition to Protect by expanding it to other communities in Montana. Groundwork was laid at the early October meeting, and all communities have copies of the petition and are working to gather signatures.
The goal is to gather 10,000 signatures for presentation to Montana’s congressional delegation and Governor Gianforte in November. This is now a statewide effort.
